Preparing your Halake session
The halake is a day apart, full of meaning and emotion. This beautiful milestone of your little boy's third birthday deserves to be immortalised with all the gentleness it inspires. Held ahead of the haircut, the session keeps the memory of his face as it is today, with his long hair, just before this great passage.
The outfits
Your child can come with two or three different outfits, to vary the moods and make the session even more personal. Favour clothes he feels good in and can move in comfortably. In the timeless spirit I hold dear, soft, plain tones without writing or patterns always photograph beautifully.
The accessories
It is a moment full of symbols, and accessories have their full place in it. On my side, I bring a Torah scroll, a tallit and a siddur. I recommend bringing your little boy's kippah, and any other accessory dear to you that you would like in the photos.
Preparing your child
The secret is for him to experience the session as a beautiful moment, not a chore. Tell him about a lovely moment just for him. Avoid scheduling right before nap or meal time, so he arrives rested and in good spirits, and perhaps plan a little something to motivate him. Rest assured, I am gentle and patient, and I always adapt to his pace.
The day of the haircut
If you wish, I can also be present on the day of the haircut itself, as an option, to immortalise this unique moment and everyone surrounding it. Tell me in advance and we will organise it together.
The right mindset
Come relaxed and trust me. Nothing is set in stone; my role is to guide your child and the whole family so everyone feels at ease. The more you enjoy the moment, the more lively and moving the images.
After the session
You receive your private online gallery within two working weeks. Such a special memory deserves a beautiful setting: an album, a lovely framed print… I will be delighted to guide you towards the keepsake that feels like you.
