Preparing your Bat Mitzvah session
A bat mitzvah marks a unique milestone in a young girl's life. This session is entirely designed for her: a moment fully in her image, where she feels beautiful, important and completely herself. Here are a few tips to prepare everything and enjoy it to the fullest.
Several looks to play the star
That is the whole spirit of this session: we always plan several outfits, varied in styles and colours, to create different moods and let her slip into the shoes of a true star. Think of outfits she loves and feels good in, from dressy to casual. A lovely mix that tells who she is, in all her facets.
Several settings
Depending on the chosen package, the session can take place across several spots, up to three, to vary settings and atmospheres. We choose together the places that suit her, among those I particularly love: Jerusalem's most beautiful neighbourhoods, the Old City, the forest, the fields or the sea.
Accessories that tell her story
This is what makes the session truly personal and full of life. Your daughter can bring the accessories she cares about, the ones that tell her passions: a musical instrument, rollerblades or a skateboard, balloons, hats, or any object that matters to her. The number of outfits, settings and accessories is agreed together beforehand, depending on the chosen collection.
Hair and beauty
Stay with what naturally enhances her and makes her feel beautiful. A pretty hairstyle and, if she likes, a touch of light, age-appropriate make-up are perfect for this special session. The idea is for her to feel radiant, while staying herself.
The right time and the light
I photograph in the golden light of late afternoon, that magical hour that makes images soft and luminous. This light only lasts a while, so punctuality is precious: it lets us enjoy the most beautiful moment without rushing, with time to move calmly from one look to the next.
Small details to check
Think of neat nails, avoid new shoes that hurt and fresh tan lines. Also plan some water and a small snack to recharge between outfit changes.
The right mindset
The most important: that she comes relaxed and has fun. There is no pose to get right; I guide her at every moment to put her at ease and reveal her whole personality. The more she lets go, the more beautiful and lively the photos. It is her session, her moment, and it is made to delight her.
The weather
If it rains, no worries: we simply reschedule the session. And if the sky is cloudy, rejoice: a veiled sky gives magnificent, very soft light, a true dream for photographers.
After the session
You receive your private online gallery within two working weeks. These images deserve beautiful keepsakes: an album, a framed print in her bedroom… I will be delighted to guide you towards what feels most like her.
